Committee Reports

  • Concessions- Eric Church- discussed staffing issues and options with signup genius (an upgraded paid version could help- Melissa will look into and send info to related parties). Reminding coaches to ask team member parents to sign up when their time is scheduled. Still having some issues with the new build- Jeni will look into- also need to look into ways to lock up Booster supplies when the concessions are rented out by District so we are not losing supplies.

  • Fair Booth- Bob Taylor- One of the best years since 2010- raised prices 22% with no complaints. We had 218 adults and 374 students volunteer. New shift schedule worked well but we closed earlier so may look at ways to stay open longer on Sat/Sun. Catered 2 events during the fair and raised an extra $500, Contract is up- working on negotiation of rental cost to lower our overhead. We need to look at getting banners for Racetrack for advertising next year. Bob is working on creating a history of the BV FairBooth. Menu ads were a big success. We need to buy new aprons or look into a service for next year. There are some maintenance things that need to be done for next year- sink drain plumbing, and vent hood cleaning. Bob will stick around as manager for 1 more year and is working with Jake Jones to get away some.
